Back to School and a Giveaway!

Have you started school yet?  I know some of you start today and if so, Welcome back! I hope you have a great first day!!!

And, if you are already in the school mode, I hope it is going great!

I started last Monday {August 26} and am exhausted!  It was a GREAT week! Now, I just need to get my body back into School mode! {That means going to bed at a reasonable time so I can wake up at 5:00am...I know I can! I know I can!}

My new batch of little Kinders were Great!!!  I have the sweetest class - or should I say classes!{In case you are new to my blog... my school has departmentalized Kindergarten.... I am only teaching Math and Science this year.... and it is a big change for me!}

I have been trying to get myself more organized this school year and that means I want a new school bag to help me!

Skippyjon Jones

Who loves Skippyjon Jones????   I do! I do! I do!!

Kohl's Cares has a bunch of Skippyjon Jones goodies this month and with Kohl's being an hour a way, I ordered my goodies on-line! I love Kohl's!  (and if I spent $75, I got free shipping - woo hoo!! What a deal for me! - So I, of course, had to order more than just Skippyjon Jones!)

Then I noticed Kohl's had some other really cute stuff on clearance, so I ordered:

I plan to make Skippyjon Jones, his books and the backpack as a take home reader unit and let the kids write about their night with him. I just need to add a spiral and a cute pen! I think my Kinders will love it!

Conferences Monday and a Giveaway!

Whew! I am exhausted! I spent today cleaning out my classroom and organizing - want my little room to look it's best for all my sweetie's parents!  While I was cleaning, I came across some things I had forgotten about... and well, since I haven't used them, I figured I would not miss them! :)

Contents: A Lakeshore grocery tote, chocolate chip cookie dough smelly dot chapstick (to help you with your positive behavior), two sets of Capital Alphabet stamps, a Great Job stamp, some cute reward stickers, one set of  happy birthday stickers, a line up here sign, two sets of alphabet stickers - you could use these to make students names, and a set of great reader awards.
