Halloween!

I hope everyone had an amazing Halloween! My class had a great day of learning and a little fun! {I thought the day of Halloween was crazy - the day after wore me out!}

The day before Halloween we made a skeleton {you can read about it here}

The day of Halloween, we did some learning... {and the day after I was exhausted!}

We had a snack and graphed Halloween bat and pumpkins pretzels, which I found at Teaching Heart Blog.

We read Five Little Pumpkins and then made a picture using their finger prints for the pumpkins. We did lots of addition and subtraction using pumpkin erasers {I found at Target} and our fingers.

We read and worked on our color words using a Halloween reader you can find at HeidiSongs blog and you can download the reader here.

We also carved our pumpkin!  I wish I could show you their sweet happy faces! It was a fun {and crazy} day!

I promised you a picture of me as Skippyjon Jones.... You promised not to laugh.....

So, I am not the expert pumpkin carver... but we had fun trying!

This is my sweet First Grader! Such a sweet smile!
Also, I have to send you to a great blog!  Smedley's Smorgasboard is having a giveaway {only until Sunday - so hurry!}  and you do not want to miss out on his awesome items!!! If you click the button below it will take you to his blog {the link to the giveaway is here}
